OVERVIEW

The original 1930’s 2-bedroom, single bathroom, clinker-brick cottage was transformed into a statuesque 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom family home with 4 car garage while maintaining the original character. The 2 lounge rooms and vast family room with open kitchen plan easily accommodates the largest of families.

Matching the character of the new portion was critical to the success of the build. We worked hard at sourcing the matching materials collaboratively with the owners which were primarily roof tiles, bricks and timber floor but also included matching the bathroom fixtures and fittings as well as cornices and doors. It is difficult to see any difference between the new and old sections.

Taking the designed step out of the master bedroom delighted the owners. They were also very happy with our addition of an attic to the build that was not planned.
